Bynum Suspended
Yesterday the NBA handed down its punishment to Andrew Bynum for his cheap shot on Jose Juan Barea in sunday’s game. Bynum was suspended for the first 5 games of next season and fined $25,000.

Pitcher Justin Verlander of the Detroit Tigers threw a no-hitter against the Toronto Blue Jays. It is Verlander’s 2nd no-hitter and is also the 2nd no-hitter thrown in the league this week. Verlander had a perfect game going into a walk given up in the 8th inning.

The Boston Bruins avenged last year’s monumental collapse against the Philadelphia Flyers, with a 5-1 victory to sweep the Flyers. The Bruins will now face the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Eastern Conference Finals.

The Boston Celtics are in a hole, and as predicted Shaquille O’Neal will return to the Boston lineup for game 3. Although I thought he would be back for game 2, I did say he will be back when the Celts absolutely needed him. Well the Diesel is back!
