In a surprising turn of events the New Jersey Nets acquired point guard Deron Williams from the Utah Jazz, a day after losing out on Carmelo Anthony.  The Utah Jazz received Devin Harris, rookie Derrick Favors, and a first round pick in exchange for Williams.  This move begs the question, What happens when you mess with Sloan?  Apparently you get sent up the river, and to the Meadowlands of NJ! 

In a separate deal, the Nets were able to dump Troy Murphy onto the Golden State Warriors in exchange for Dan Gadzuric and the disappointing Brandan Wright.
