Bullseye!

In Thursday night’s marquee matchup, The Chicago Bulls defeated the Miami Heat 93-89. MVP front-runner Derrick Rose paced the Bulls with 26 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists, as they erased a 10 point third quarter deficit.

During the game’s defining moment, Derrick Rose broke LeBron James down off the dribble, forcing Dwayne Wade to help, leaving Luol Deng wide open in the corner. Rose would spot the open Deng and pass him the ball. Deng drained the open three to give the Bulls a 92-89 lead with 16 seconds remaining. Deng’s three would prove to be the game winner, as James missed a three wildly from the top of the key on the Heat’s next possession.

Lebron James finished the game with 29 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists. Dwayne Wade poured in 34 points, grabbed 8 boards, and handed out 2 assists. Chris Bosh did not fare as well, as he finished with only 7 points on 1-18 shooting from the field.

For the Bulls, Luol Deng scored 20 points, pulled down 10 rebounds, and had 5 assists. Carlos Boozer chipped in with 20 points, and 9 rebounds. Joakim Noah returned to the starting lineup after missing nearly three months with a broken thumb. Noah scored 7 points and had 8 rebounds.
