Late Thursday night came word that the Cleveland Cavaliers had bought out the contract of Leon Powe, opening the door for a possible return to Boston.
Deadline deals that saw the departures of, Kendrick Perkins, Semih Erden, and Luke Harangody, have left the celts very thin in the frontcourt. Boston would benefit a lot from Powe’s knack for scoring and rebounding in the paint. Powe played a huge role in Boston’s NBA Finals victory over the Los Angeles Lakers back in 2008.
