Tampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Jeremy Hellickson was named the 2011 American League Rookie of the Year.  Hellickson had a record of 13-10 with a 2.95 ERA.

Atlanta Braves closer Craig Kimbrel was named the 2011 National League Rookie of the Year.  Kimbrel finished in a tie with John Axford for the NL saves title with 46 saves.  Kimbrel was also a NL All-Star.
