Jalen Jailed
Former NBA player and current ESPN NBA Analyst Jalen Rose was sentenced to 20 days in jail after pleading guilty to drunken driving. Last May, after drinking six Martini’s, Rose crashed his SUV along a road in a town right outside of Detroit. Rose was also sentenced to a year’s probation.
Beltran to San Fran
The New York Mets will be sending OF Carlos Beltran to the San Francisco Giants in exchange for pitcher Zack Wheeler and prospects.
Ervin’s Magic
Angels pitcher Ervin Santana tossed the 3rd no-hitter this season, while striking out 10 batters. The Angels defeated the Cleveland Indians 3-1. The Cleveland run came off of a wild pitch.

The Washington Redskins have reached a preliminary deal with the Minnesota Vikings that would make QB Donovan McNabb a Viking. Also, the Tennessee Titans have come to terms with QB Matthew Hasselbeck.

Roberto Alomar, Bert Blyleven, and GM Pat Gillick were inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame Saturday. Alomar was inducted as a Toronto Blue Jay, having won World Series titles in 1992 and 1993. Blyleven was enshrined as a Minnesota Twin, winning a World Series with Pittsburgh in 1979 and with Minnesota in 1987.
