Don’t look now but the Memphis Grizzlies are roaring! A night after upsetting the Dallas Mavericks, the Grizzlies knocked off the Oklahoma City Thunder 107-101.
The Grizzlies were led by Mike Conley Jr’s 20 points and 9 assists. Tony Allen continued his stellar play scoring 20 points. Zach Randolph added 17 points, and Marc Gasol was also big, scoring 18 points. The Thunder were led by the usual suspects, Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook. Durant and Westbrook scored 23 and 27 points respectively.
With the win Memphis improves their record to 36-29, and have won 9 out of the last 12. They currently hold the 8th seed in the Western Conference, 2 games ahead of the Phoenix Suns. What is most impressive about this run for the Grizzlies is that they are doing it with Rudy Gay sidelined with a dislocated shoulder. The Grizzlies are rolling and will be a tough out in the playoffs for the top seeds out west.
