Cinderella has returned again as the 8 seeded Butler Bulldogs have knocked off the 1 seed Pitt Panthers.

The game went down to the final seconds as both teams committed inexplicable fouls. With 1.7 seconds left, and Butler up 70-69, Sheldon Mack committed a foul on Gilbert Brown of Pitt, 45 feet from the basket. Brown made the first free throw but missed the second, but Pitt would foul Butler’s Matt Howard on the rebound with only .7 seconds left. Howard made the first free throw to put Butler ahead 71-70. After a miss on the second attempt, Pitt could not get up an attempt before time expired.

Cinderella is back and the slipper is once again on the foot of the Butler Bulldogs.
