The Los Angeles Lakers edged out the Phoenix Sun 139-137 tuesday night in a 3OT thriller. The Black Mamba Kobe Bryant struck for a season high 42 points, and 12 rebounds.
After a start that would lead them to believe that it was going to be an easy win for the Lakers, they would blow a 21 point lead. What went from a potential short nights work, turned into a triple overtime thriller.
With 1.1 seconds left in the first OT, Channing Frye made three free throws for the Suns to send the game into double OT. Frye scored a career high 32 points in the loss. Pau Gasol would hit two free throws with 2.2 seconds left to send the game into a third overtime. LA would hold on for a two point 3OT victory.
