Tuesday Thriller!

The Los Angeles Lakers edged out the Phoenix Sun 139-137 tuesday night in a 3OT thriller. The Black Mamba Kobe Bryant struck for a season high 42 points, and 12 rebounds.

After a start that would lead them to believe that it was going to be an easy win for the Lakers, they would blow a 21 point lead. What went from a potential short nights work, turned into a triple overtime thriller.

With 1.1 seconds left in the first OT, Channing Frye made three free throws for the Suns to send the game into double OT. Frye scored a career high 32 points in the loss. Pau Gasol would hit two free throws with 2.2 seconds left to send the game into a third overtime. LA would hold on for a two point 3OT victory.

For the defending champs, Lamar Odom scored a season high 29 points and also grabbed 16 rebounds. Gasol added 24 points and 13 rebounds. Along with his 32 points, Frye also pulled down 14 rebounds for Phoenix. Steve Nash had 19 points and an amazing 20 assists. Marcin Gortat had a huge night off the bench with 24 points and 16 rebounds.

The Lakers have now won 13 of 14 since the all star break and look like a team that is ready to defend their thrown well into June.
