Derrick Rose put on a MVP performance friday night, torching the Atlanta Hawks for 44 points. The Chicago Bulls led from the start and blew out the Hawks. Along with his 44 points, Rose had 7 assists and 5 rebounds. Jeff Teague was once again the Hawks’ leading scorer with 21 points.

The defending champion Lakers are slipping away from their thrown and are one loss away from being eliminated. The Dallas Mavericks executed much better than LA down the stretch and now hold a commanding 3-0 series lead. As Andrew Lynch of the Lihk said, “I can make an argument for Dirk Nowitzki being the best player in the series. Nowitzki filled it up for 32 points and Jason Terry added 23 points off the bench. Andrew Bynum was the Lakers high point man with 21 points. During the third quarter Phil Jackson got in Pau Gasol’s face and gave him a tongue lashing and even slapped Pau’s chest.
