In a wild thriller, the Baylor Bears upset the 14th ranked TCU Horned Frogs 50-48.
Behind starting QB Robert Griffin III’s(RG3) massive game, Baylor jumped out to an early lead on the Rose Bowl Champions TCU. Griffin III was 21-27 passing with 359 yards and 5 touchdowns.
After trailing 47-23 heading into the fourth, TCU scored 25 unanswered points, culminating with a field goal from senior kicker Ross Evans. Trailing 48-47, RG3 marched his Baylor Bears down the field and took a 50-48 lead on Aaron Brown’s 37-yard field goal with 1:04 remaining in the game. On their final possession, TCU reached midfield before QB Casey Parchall was picked off by Baylor CB Mike Hicks to seal the Baylor victory.
The loss snaps TCU’s 25-game regular season winning streak. TCU was led by QB Casey Parchall who 25-39 passing with 251 yards, 4 touchdowns and 1 interception. Baylor had several stars on offense, led by QB Robert Griffin III. RB Terrance Ganaway carried the ball 24 times for 120 yards and a touchdown. WR Kendall Wright caught 12 balls for 189 yards and 2 touchdowns. Fellow receiver Terrance Williams had 6 catches for 126 yards and 2 touchdowns.
