In a surprising move, the Jacksonville Jaguars released starting QB David Garrard tuesday. The move leaves backup Luke McCown as the starting QB, with rookie Blaine Gabbert as the 2nd string QB. Gabbert will most likely finish the season as the starting QB.

The Jaguars say that McCown gives them a better chance at making the playoffs, but that is nonsense.
