After failing to agree on a contract extension the Chicago White Sox granted Ozzie Guillen his wish, releasing him from his current deal and agreeing to trade him to the Florida Marlins.
Although Ozzie managed his last game Monday, the deal will go through as soon as the regular season ends. Guillen will be traded for two Minor Leaguers. It is almost unheard of for a Manager to be traded so this comes as a surprise to many. What isn’t a surprise is Guillen leaving the Chi Sox, as him and GM Kenny Williams have been at odds for a while now.
