The World Series is heading to Texas tied at 1!
The Texas Rangers used a 2-run ninth inning to win game two 2-1 and tie the World Series at a game a piece. Down a run in the top of the 9th, Ian Kinsler led off with a bloop single and then stole second. Elvis Andrus followed with a single to advance Kinsler to third and then advanced to second after Albert Pujols missed the cut-off throw. Josh Hamilton and Michael Young would both follow with sacrifice flies to give the Rangers a 2-1 lead. Ranger’s closer Neftali Feliz would walk the first batter then retired the next three Cardinals batters in the bottom of the 9th to record the save.
Game 3 will be in Texas on Saturday night.
