The Chris Paul to the Los Angeles Lakers deal is off. Word is that a group of irate NBA owners forced David Stern to kill the deal. Others say that the same group of owners urged the Hornets GM to not go through with the deal.
Many owners feel that the main reason for the lockout was so big market teams couldn’t leverage small market teams for their star players. By completing this deal those owners felts that was happening so they urged Stern to block the deal.
The Hornets are expecting Chris Paul to be in camp tomorrow. All of the other players who were involved in the deal are also expected to attend training camp tomorrow with their current team.
