It’s looking more and more like Robert Griffin III will be heading to the nation’s capital.

In a deal that won’t become official until 4pm Tuesday when the league’s new season starts, the Washington Redskins will acquire the 2nd overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. The Redskins will send three first-round draft picks and a second-round pick to the St. Louis Rams in exchange for the second overall pick in this year’s draft.

The Skins’ are expected to select Baylor quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III with the pick.
