No Rondo, no problem. Playing without their star point guard Rajon Rondo who was suspended for game 2, Paul Pierce carried the Celtics to a 87-80 victory over the Atlanta Hawks in game two. Pierce put together a massive double-double with 36 points and 14 rebounds. Kevin Garnett also recorded a double-double scoring 15 points and pulling down 12 rebounds. Joe Johnson led Atlanta with 22 points. The series now heads to Boston for games 3 and 4.

Chicago’s first game without Derrick Rose since losing him to a season ending torn ACL was a nightmare. Philly got out early in the third quarter and never looked back en route to a 109-92 victory to even the series at a game a piece. Jrue Holiday led the Sixers with 26 points, while Lou Williams added 20 points. Joakim Noah led the Bulls with 21 points. The series shifts to Philadelphia for games 3 and 4.

In a game that the Lakers seemed like they would run away with early, turned into a tight battle that LA would hold on to win. Kobe Bryant poured in 38 points and Andrew Bynum added 27 points to lead the the Lakers to a 2-0 series advantage. Ty Lawson led the Nuggets with 25 points. Games 3 and 4 will be hosted by the Nuggets in Denver.
