Celtics 101 Heat 91
MIA 2-1
The Boston Celtics returned home and received a bit of home cooking as they defeated the Miami Heat 101-91 in game 3 to cut Miami’s series lead to 2-1.
Predictably, it was the Celtics who received the favorable calls Friday night after voicing their displeasure over the lack of calls in games 1 and 2. Boston went to the line six more times than Miami. Kevin Garnett led the Celtics with 24 points and 11 assists. Paul Pierce added 23 points and Rajon Rondo followed up his 44 point game 2 performance with a 21 point, 10 assist outing. LeBron James led 34 points, and was whistled for a shocking 4 fouls. Dwyane Wade added 18 points for the Heat.
The Celtics will look to even up the series in game 4 Sunday night.
