For the second time in three seasons the San Francisco Giants are World Series Champions!
The Giants completed their sweep of the Detroit Tigers with a 4-3, 10-inning victory in game four of the World Series. NLCS MVP Marco Scutaro drove in the series clinching run with a two-out single in the top of the 10th. San Francisco closer Sergio Romo closed things out with a 1-2-3 bottom of the 10th.
Third baseman Pablo Sandoval was named World Series MVP for the Giants. The Panda etched his name into World Series lore with a three home run performance in game 1.
