The Pittsburgh Pirates are heading to the NLDS after taking out the Cincinnati Reds 6-2 in the NL Wild Card Playoff Game. The victory was the first playoff win for Pittsburgh since 1992.

The Pirates got back to back homers from Marlon Byrd and Russell Martin in the bottom of the second inning and never looked back. Martin would add another homer later in the seventh as Pittsburgh went on to capture the victory.

The Pirates will meet the St. Louis Cardinals in the NLDS.
