AFC: Jacksonville Jaguars(10-6) vs. New England Patriots(13-3)
Classic case of explosive offense versus great defense. Jacksonville’s young and ferocious defense will look to get after Tom Brady and test his injured right hand. Jacksonville’s defense will keep them in it for about a half then I expect Brady and the boys to adjust and handle the Jags. Look for guys like James White and Dion Lewis to play a big role in the Patriots offensive attack. The Pats defense should also feast on a less than mediocre Blake Bortles at the helm of the Jaguars offense. Patriots just need to contain the Jags’ stud back Leonard Fournette.
I like the Patriots to advance to Super Bowl LII with a 27-17 victory.
NFC: Minnesota Vikings(13-3) vs. Philadelphia Eagles(13-3)
Clearly the Vikings are America’s darlings after their thrilling walk-off victory over the New Orleans Saints last week. I do feel that the Eagles have more of a shot in this game than they are being given. Let’s remember the Eagles are at home in this game. The key will be the adjustments Nick Foles and the Eagles make to slow down the Vikings stellar defense. Don’t be surprised if the Eagles hold a lead early in the game. I think the Vikings will need to settle in and realize that last week’s heroics won’t guarantee a win this week. Ultimately, I believe Case Keenum is capable of making more big plays than Foles and that will be the difference.
I expect the Vikings to win another close one 20-17 and advance to Super Bowl LII, which will be in their home stadium.
