The Orlando Magic got back on track tuesday night and destroyed the Atlanta Hawks to send the series back to Atlanta for game 6. Orlando used 11 three pointers to seize control the game. They also got a spark from Jason Richardson, who returned from a one game suspension to score 17 points. J.J. Redick had his best game of the series, scoring 14 points. Josh Smith was the only Hawks player who had a good game, scoring 22 points.
Bulls 116 Pacers 89
Chi wins 4-1
There was no bull from the Chicago Bulls tuesday, as they dismantled the Indiana Pacers, sending them home for the summer. Derrick Rose played on a sprained left ankle and played well. Rose finished with 25 points, 2 rebounds, and 8 assists. Luol Deng had a good game, dropping 24 points. The Chicago Bulls will now await the winner of the Orlando/Atlanta series in round 2.
Lakers 106 Hornets 90
LA leads 3-2
After a sluggish first quarter the Lakers, took off and ran away from the New Orleans Hornets. LA now holds a 3-2 series lead. Kobe Bryant showed no ill effects from his sprained left ankle, that he suffered in game four attempting to defend Willie Green. Kobe’s signature play came in the second quarter when he drove down the middle of the lane and finished with an emphatic dunk on Emeka Okafor. Bryant finished the game with 19 points. Trevor Ariza lead the Hornets with 22 points.
