Joe Johnson delivered a dominant performance as the Hawks went into Chicago and stole game 1 of the their Eastern Conference Semifinals series with the Chicago Bulls. Johnson torched the Bulls for 34 points. Atlanta came out the gates fast, rushing out to a 9-0 lead. With the Bulls leading late in the third, the Hawks took off once again and never looked back on their way to victory. Jamal Crawford added 22 points to the Hawks attack.

Derrick Rose led the Bulls with 24 points and 10. As the game was ending Rose rolled his left ankle again after stepping on Jamal Crawford’s foot. Rose limped very gingerly to the locker room.
