(6-7) Seahawks 30 Rams 13 (2-11)
In a game that was never in doubt, the Seattle Seahawks kept their playoff hopes alive with a 30-13 victory over the St. Louis Rams.
The Seahawks were sparked by undrafted rookie wide receiver Doug Baldwin, not only on offense but on special teams. Baldwin returned the opening kickoff for 40 yards, he then downed a punt inside the opponents own 10 yard line. Baldwin capped off his terrific special teams night with a block punt on St. Louis’ subsequent possession. The block punt was returned by Michael Robinson for a 17-yard touchdown.
Baldwin also shined offensively catching 7 passes for 91 yards and a touchdown. Seattle running back Marshawn Lynch continued his stellar play rushing for 115 yards and a touchdown. Lynch has rushed for over a 100 yards in five of his last six games, and has scored a touchdown in nine straight games.
Steven Jackson rushed for 63 yards and a touchdown to pace the Rams. Brandon Lloyd caught 5 passes for 82 yards.
