With Justin Verlander looming in game 7, one swing of the bat changed everything.

Shane Victorino’s 7th inning grand slam put the Boston Red Sox up for good as they went on the claim the American League Pennant 5-2 in game 6.

The Sox will be making their first trip back to the fall classic since 2007. They will take on the National League champion St. Louis Cardinals. The Cardinals are making the second appearance in the fall classic in three seasons. Boston swept the Cardinals in the 2004 World Series, to claim their first World Series title in 86 years.

Game 1 of the World Series will be Wednesday night in Boston.
