Pitcher Justin Verlander of the Detroit Tigers threw a no-hitter against the Toronto Blue Jays. It is Verlander’s 2nd no-hitter and is also the 2nd no-hitter thrown in the league this week. Verlander had a perfect game going into a walk given up in the 8th inning.

Minnesota Twins pitcher Francisco Liriano threw a no hitter tuesday night in a 1-0 win over the Chicago White Sox.
Derrick Rose won the NBA’s Most Valuable Player award tuesday. Rose easily beat out Dwight Howard and LeBron James for the award. Rose is the first Chicago Bulls player to win the award since Michael Jordan in 1998.
