Only One

The Vancouver Canucks defeated the Boston Bruins 1-0 in game one of the Stanley Cup Finals Wednesday.  The game was a stalemate until Vancouver’s Raffi Torres was able to beat Boston Goalie Tim Thomas for the game’s only goal with 18 seconds remaining in the 3rd period.  The Bruins will attempt to tie the series in game 2 friday night.

Rubio Coming to Sota

Ricky Rubio and the Minnesota Timberwolves agreed to a deal last night, that will have Rubio competing for a starting position next season.  The T-Wolves selected Rubio with the 5th overall pick in the 2009 draft, but he has been playing professionally in Spain since then.  The 20-year-old began playing professionally at the age of 14.

Dirk Injured

Dallas Mavericks superstar Dirk Nowitzki tore a tendon in his left ring finger when he was called for a foul after cleanly stripping the ball from Chris Bosh. Dirk will not miss any time and will play with a splint on his finger for the rest of the series.
